The mixing barrel is suspended at the end of the main and driven axles through two Y-type universal joints that intersect and are perpendicular to each other in space. When the drive shaft rotates, the universal joints cause the barrel to move repeatedly in three-dimensional space through translation, rotation, and rolling motions. Materials inside the cylinder follow this compound movement in axial, radial, and circumferential directions, enabling multiple materials to flow, diffuse, and blend with each other until achieving a uniform state.

Special design prevents temperature rise during mixing of PTFE polymer powder with fiberglass, graphite, carbon, bronze, and other additives.
