On the wear side, long floats are arranged with a 3:2 CD shute ratio between forming and wear layers. This ratio permits the use of medium and coarse CD yarns, enhancing wear resistance and operational stability. Dual MD thread systems contribute to high cross‑directional rigidity. The fabric’s open structure supports aggressive dewatering while allowing easy showering. This model provides a reliable balance of sheet support, drainage capacity, and wear life for modern paper machines.
