High Permeability Soft Magnetic Alloy Wire
Permalloy 80 is a high-performance nickel-iron-molybdenum soft magnetic alloy with approximately 80% nickel, 15% iron, and 5% molybdenum content. This vacuum-melted material delivers exceptional magnetic properties including maximum permeability and minimal core losses at low field strengths, making it ideal for compact, lightweight magnetic core and shielding applications.
Key magnetic characteristics include near zero magnetostriction, significant anisotropic magnetoresistance, high initial and maximum permeabilities with low coercive force, low hysteresis loss, and low eddy-current losses. These properties make it particularly suitable for thin film applications where variable stresses could otherwise cause destructive variations in magnetic performance.
