Types of Check Valves: There are several types of check valves available, including:

• Swing Check Valve: This type of check valve has a hinged disc that swings open in the forward direction and closes to block reverse flow.

• Lift Check Valve: Lift check valves have a piston or disc that moves up and down in response to fluid or gas flow. When the flow stops or reverses, the piston or disc is forced back into the closed position by gravity or a spring.

• Ball Check Valve: Ball check valves have a spherical ball that sits inside the valve body. When fluid or gas flows in the forward direction, the ball is pushed aside, allowing flow. When the flow stops or reverses, the ball returns to its seat, preventing backflow.

• Diaphragm Check Valve: Diaphragm check valves use a flexible diaphragm that allows flow in the forward direction while sealing off the flow path in the reverse direction.
