Product Overview for Quartz Tube Furnace
1200C series multi-zone tube furnace PT D120/900/12/3 is a long, and split-able three-zone tube furnaces with tubes up to 100mm O.D capable of quickly heating up to 1200°C. The multiple zones also enable the user to create different thermal gradients by varying the temperature of the three zones. The furnace includes one fused quartz tube, one pair of vacuum sealing flanges with a pressure gauge & a ball valve for immediate use. Three-30 segments of temperature controllers are installed with a N-type thermalcouple. Microprocessor-based self-tuning PID control provides excellent temperature control without overshooting along with an accuracy of +/- 1 °C. It is an excellent furnace for annealing, diffusing, and sintering samples under various gas atmospheres

Safety Measures
- Built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters for easy monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Overheat protection shuts down the tube furnace if temperature is outside of acceptable range (refer to controller's manual) or when the thermocouple is broken or malfunctions
- Power failure protection resumes furnace operation right after the point of failure when power is reestablished
- Microprocessor based self-tuning PID control provides optimum thermal process with minimal overshoot

Application Notes
- Don't fill any explosive gasses such as Hydrogen or Methane into the furnace tube without necessary safety controls and supervision
- Laboratory tube furnaces with quartz tube are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa
- Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with alumina coating
