Product overview
The operation of a bag filter housing involves the following steps:
- Inlet: The fluid containing solid particles enters the housing through an inlet port.
- Filtration: The fluid flows through the filter bag(s), and the solid particles are trapped inside the bag while the filtered fluid continues to flow through.
- Accumulation: As the operation continues, the solid particles accumulate inside the filter bag, gradually reducing its efficiency. This accumulation is known as the dirt load.
- Outlet: The filtered fluid exits the housing through an outlet port, free from most of the solid particles.
- Maintenance: When the filter bag reaches its maximum dirt load capacity or when the desired filtration level is no longer achieved, the bag needs to be replaced or cleaned. This typically involves stopping the flow, opening the housing, removing the used bag, and installing a new one.
