Centrifugal Force: Centrifuges operate based on the principle of centrifugal force, which is the force experienced by an object moving in a circular path due to the rotation of the centrifuge. This force causes denser materials (like solids) to move towards the outer edge of the rotating basket.

Construction: The Wedge Wire Centrifugal Basket is typically made of stainless steel and consists of a cylindrical shape with a perforated or slotted surface. The surface of the basket is covered with wedge-shaped wires or profiled bars that create slots or gaps for the liquid to pass through while retaining the solid particles.

Operation: When the centrifuge is in operation, the liquid-solid mixture is fed into the rotating basket. As the basket spins at high speeds, the centrifugal force forces the heavier solid particles to move towards the basket's inner wall, where they get trapped in the wedge wire or profiled bar slots.
