Application with 2KExtra White automotive paint requires the following steps:
Clean the vehicle surface: Use car wash liquid and water to clean the vehicle surface to ensure it is clean and dust-free.
Mask and Protect: Use plastic wrap, newsprint, or a professional masking product to cover the area around your vehicle to prevent spray paint from reaching unwanted areas.
Grinding and polishing: Use sandpaper and polishing tools to remove old paint, blemishes, and oxides from the vehicle's surface to smooth the surface.
Mix paint: 2K automotive paint is a two-part system paint, usually mixed with a base paint and a hardener. Follow the paint manufacturer's instructions for mixing the base paint and hardener in the correct proportions.
Spraying operation: Spray with an airbrush: Pour the mixed 2K automotive paint into the paint cup of the airbrush.
Spraying Tips: Keep the distance between the spray gun and the vehicle surface even, usually at a distance of 20-30 cm, to ensure even coverage of the coating. Multiple coats of spraying are usually required, with appropriate drying time between each coat. This ensures a smooth and even coating.
Curing: After applying the final coat of paint, wait for the coating to cure according to the paint manufacturer's recommendations. This usually takes some time to ensure the coating is completely dry and cured.
