Hydrophobic PTFE Membrane Disc Filter for HPLC sample preparation

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) disc filters, are a type of filter membrane that exhibit chemical and biological inertness. This means that they are not affected by or react with chemicals or biological substances. They are stable up to 260°C, which is a high temperature that is well within the range of normal operating temperatures for many applications. PTFE membrane disc filters we offer are hydrophobic and laminated with optional PP or PET supportive backing. They are very useful for air venting, gas filtration and removal of aerosol comtaminants. These membranes are manufactured through a patented process to form a high-porosity, uniformly thick and thermostable structure. PTFE with PP or PET supportive backing possesses the qualities of standard PTFE membranes, but have the additional benefit of a backing layer making them thicker and easier to handle.
