Ideal Raw Materials for Pelletizing

How It Works: The Pelletizing Process

  1. Feeding: Biomass material is evenly fed into the conditioner chamber (if equipped) or directly into the pelleting chamber.
  2. Compression & Extrusion: Inside the chamber, two or three rotating rollers press the material against a stationary, perforated ring die. Under immense pressure and heat generated by friction, the lignin in the biomass softens and binds the particles together.
  3. Extrusion & Cutting: The compacted material is forced through the die holes, forming dense, solid strands. Stationary knives mounted outside the die cut these strands into uniform pellets of the desired length.
  4. Discharge: The finished pellets are discharged from the machine, ready for cooling, screening, and packaging.
