Installation of PALL Filter Element in Hydraulic Systems
In hydraulic systems, PALL filter elements are crucial components that protect the hydraulic pump, valves, and other sensitive components from pollutants and impurities present in the hydraulic oil. Here are different ways in which PALL filter element can be installed:
1. Installation at the Suction Port of the Pump
A surface type oil filter is usually installed on the suction path of the pump to filter out larger impurities and particles. The filtering capacity of the oil filter should be more than twice the pump flow rate. The pressure loss should be less than 0.02 MPa.
2. Installation on the Outlet Oil Circuit of the Pump
This installation ensures the filtration of the hydraulic oil as it leaves the pump, before it enters sensitive components such as valves. The filtration accuracy here should be between 10-15 μ m. The filter should withstand the working pressure and impact pressure on the oil circuit and have a pressure drop of less than 0.35 MPa. A safety valve should also be installed to prevent oil filter blockage.
3. Installation on the System's Return Oil Line
This installation serves as an indirect filter. The filter is installed on the system's return oil line, often with a back pressure valve installed in parallel with the filter. The back pressure valve opens when the filter becomes clogged and reaches a certain pressure value.
4. Installation on the System Branch Oil Circuit
In this installation, the PALL filter element is installed on the system branch oil circuit. This installation ensures effective filtration of the hydraulic oil before it enters the components on the branch circuit.
5. PALL Filter Element Separate Filtration System
Large hydraulic systems can have a dedicated hydraulic pump and oil filter to form an independent filtration circuit. In addition to the oil filter required for the entire system, a dedicated fine oil filter is often installed in front of some important components to ensure their normal operation in the PALL filter hydraulic system.
