BurkeRT 6213EV 00222168 00222169 00222170 Normally Closed Solenoid Valve Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve Pneumatic Control Valve
Product Description:
The Burkert Series 6213 features servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm solenoid valves that are normally closed. These valves are distinguished by their compact design, high flow capacity, ability to start up at zero pressure, and low noise levels. They are well-suited for use with water, as well as neutral and mildly corrosive fluids.
Spanning an operational range from DN10 to DN40 and handling pressures between 0 and 10 bar, the Series 6213 valves find widespread application across various industries including water treatment, food and beverage production, pharmaceuticals, and more.
The Series 6213 is designed as a P/NC (normally closed, with inlet port P) 2/2-way solenoid valve, utilizing a force-coupled diaphragm combined with a spring for servo assistance. The standard model supports startup at zero pressure, although a pressure differential of at least 0.1 bar is advised to achieve full valve opening.
Additionally, the specialized HP00 version of the valve can operate without any pressure difference, making it ideal for applications involving gases and vacuum conditions. Its damping structure effectively minimizes water hammer effects and reduces switching noise, ensuring smooth functioning alongside quiet operation.

Applications:
This industry utilizes valves for pipeline switching and flow control within tap water supply systems, sewage treatment plants, and pure water preparation setups.
Constructed with a 316L stainless steel valve body combined with FKM/EPDM seals, these valves effectively resist corrosion caused by residual chlorine and impurities commonly found in water. Additionally, their damping structure significantly reduces water hammer impacts in water pipelines.
Valves in this sector are applied to filling equipment, cleaning-in-place (CIP) systems, and ingredient conveyance pipelines for beverages, dairy products, condiments, and other food items.
The valve bodies are made from lead-free brass which complies with European standards for drinking water and food contact materials. Furthermore, the smooth inner walls of the valves prevent accumulation of media residues, thereby meeting the strict hygiene requirements of the food and beverage industry.
Valves serve an essential role in on-off control of purified water, WFI (water for injection), and reagent fluids used throughout pharmaceutical production lines.
The materials chosen ensure excellent compatibility and reliable sealing performance to avoid contamination of the medium. An optional ATEX explosion-proof version is available, making these valves suitable for hazardous environments commonly found in pharmaceutical workshops.
These valves are ideal for applications including compressed air pipeline control, cooling water circulation in machine tools, and solvent transfer within chemical laboratories.
Thanks to their compact design, the valves can be easily installed even in spaces with limited room. Their capability to operate continuously at 100% ED meets the demands of long-term industrial equipment operation.
In automatic irrigation systems, these valves manage the on-off control of waterways, often integrated with sensors to enable precise water delivery tailored to crop needs.
The zero-pressure startup feature allows these valves to function effectively within low-pressure water supply environments typical in agricultural irrigation.
