1. Connect source to H‑arm –
   For in‑phase power division, feed the input signal into the H‑arm of the WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T.

2. Use collinear arms as outputs –
   The two collinear arms of a WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T serve as balanced outputs, each receiving half the input power.

3. Use as a combiner –
   Feed two signals into the collinear arms of a WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T; the sum appears at the H‑arm and the difference appears at the E‑arm.

4. Terminate unused ports –
   Any unused port of a WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T must be terminated with a matched WAVEGUIDE LOAD to prevent reflections.

5. Power rating check –
   Before operating a WAVEGUIDE MAGIC T, verify the average and peak power ratings for all four ports.
