60-90GHz WR-12 WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR

60-90GHz WR-12 WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR

• Rugged and precision‑machined waveguide construction
• Broadband operation (multi‑octave available)
• Frequency range from 1 GHz to 110 GHz+

• Radar systems –
A WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR adjusts transmitter output power for built‑in‑test (BIT) or calibration routines.

• Satellite communication (Satcom) ground stations –
A WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR compensates for gain variations in the transmission chain or equalizes power between two redundant paths.

• Electronic warfare (EW) systems –
A WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR provides dynamic range management for receivers that must handle signals from very weak to very strong.

• A WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR with absorptive (coaxial‑to‑waveguide) design uses lossy ferrite or dielectric materials that absorb electromagnetic energy.
A WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR maintains a good impedance match (low VSWR) across its operating frequency band, ensuring minimal reflection.
A WAVEGUIDE ATTENUATOR attenuates signals by converting part of the electromagnetic energy into heat, which is dissipated through the waveguide body and heat sinks.
