Description 

Wing Screws, made to DIN 316 A standard, are commonly referred to as Rectangular Wing Bolts. They host a conical shaped body with two elongated ears or wings that protrude from either side.

These wings host a rectangular shape compared to Brass German Form Wing Screws – designed to be installed by hand without the need for additional tools.

With anti-rust and corrosion resistant properties, these Wing Screws are suitable for external use and are often found within mechanical and engineering applications.

They can be partnered with any mating nut, but to create a symmetrical fastening that is adjustable from both ends, they should be used alongside Brass American Form Wing Nuts

DIN 316 A Brass Wing Screws American Form are available at Fastenright in thread sizes M5 to M12, with lengths up to 60mm. Optional thread locking patches can also be supplied.

Wing Bolts are available to order in various materials such as A2 Stainless Steel, A4 Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium and Aluminium.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.

The wings of this thumb screw provide better leverage than single-head design thumb screws, allowing for greater torque while installing. Easy to turn with one hand, great for fast assembly and disassembly.

Machine thread wing bolts can be used in a tapped hole or with a locking / non-locking nut. Length is measured underneath the head.
