Blind rivet nut, also known as a threaded insert or a blind rivet nut. It is a mechanical fastener that, as the name suggests, is a variation of the standard rivet. This one-piece, threaded, counter-bored tubular rivet can be anchored entirely from one side of the material in which it's installed. These inch or metric fasteners are installed by compressing the nut onto the material. This can be achieved with a rivet nut tool or squeezing the nut with parallel forces. High torque values can be achieved with the proper selection of rivet nut body style, including smooth, ribbed, swage or hex.
