Corundum Mullite Poly-light Brick is also called Corundum mullite lightweight insulation brick and Corundum mullite heat-insulating refractory brick which is a new type of energy-saving refractory material that can directly contact flames. It possesses high temperature resistance, excellent thermal shock stability, high strength, and low thermal conductivity. It is widely used as lining for ceramic roller kilns, shuttle kilns, cracking furnaces, hot blast stoves, and various electric furnaces, as well as for furnace door bricks and kiln car bricks.
Features of Light-weight Corundum Mullite Poly-light Bricks
- Low thermal conductivity, providing excellent thermal insulation.
- Low heat accumulation, due to its low thermal conductivity, mullite series lightweight insulating bricks store very little heat, showing significant energy-saving effects in intermittent operations.
- Low impurity content, with very low levels of iron and alkali metal oxides, resulting in high refractoriness; the higher alumina content ensures good performance even in reducing atmospheres.
- High compressive strength at elevated temperatures.
- Accurate dimensions, speeding up the masonry process, reducing refractory mortar usage, and ensuring the strength and stability of the masonry, thereby extending the service life of the lining.
