ASME B16.9 is the standard for manufacturing and testing butt-welded fittings. Titanium elbow that meets the ASME B16.9 standard are tested rigorously to ensure they can withstand the pressure and temperature requirements of different applications.
Titanium elbow is available in both seamless and welded construction depending on the end-use requirements. Seamless titanium elbow has a smoother surface and can withstand higher pressures than welded elbow, making it ideal for critical applications. Welded titanium elbow, on the other hand, is commonly used in low-pressure applications where cost is a significant consideration.
