Foam ceramic is a new type of industrial ceramics with a low bulk density (0.25-0.65)g/cm³ and a high porosity(60-90)% with a three-dimensional network skeleton structure. Because these products have high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and interpenetrating cavities with large specificsurface area, they are widely used in metal melt filtration, high temperature flue gas purification treatment, chem ical filtration, carrier and photothermal conversion.

Especially in the metal melt filtration, some domestic and foreign enterprises in the casting systemfro m the screen purification, straight-hole honeycomb ceramic tile purification, to the current foam ceramic filter, the practice has proved that the use of the filter products to reduce the casting rejection rate, it has a significant effect on improving the mechanical properties of castings, extending metal cutting and tool life, and reducing overall costs.
