PSE certification basic information

Is it mandatory: Mandatory
Certificate validity: for diamond, 3-7 years, based on product. For round shapes, there is no validity period and no certificate. Only VOC can be issued.
Factory inspection requirements: For diamond-shaped products, only the first factory inspection is required, and no annual inspection is required. For round shapes, no factory inspection required
Licensee Requirements: For Diamond, Factory/Importer. For round shapes, no requirements

Technical information: Voltage frequency AC 100V, 50Hz /60Hz, plug JIS 830

Application process

1. The customer prepares samples and materials and submits them to the testing agency

2. The laboratory of the testing agency conducts the test. If it is a PSE round shape, the LCS will issue a statement letter

3. For the PSE diamond, factory inspection is also required

4. After passing the test and factory inspection, the certification agency issues a PSE diamond certificate

5. PCB design drawings related to safety regulations

6. Specifications of transformer and coil parts

7. List of key components and their certificates

8. Japanese manual or assembly manual

9. Japanese nameplate and warning sign (including PSE sign and notified supplier name)

10. Structural data table

11. List of factory production and calibration certificates, etc. (for factory inspection).
