It is managed by Australia's Department of Industry and Scientific Development and is mainly responsible for the implementation of products required by GEMS standards, as well as supervision and inspection.

LCS can provide GEMS compulsory certification services. Energy-consuming products exported to Australia must comply with Australia's minimum energy consumption regulations. The report issued by the authorized agency must be submitted to the Australian Energy Efficiency Agency to be effective.

The products applied for mainly include incandescent lamps, double-ended fluorescent lamps, self-ballasted lamps, CFLs, power adapters, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, dryers, etc.
