Requirement/Limits:

Shall not contain lead and its compound equal to or exceed 0.05% by weight (500 ppm).

For article or accessible parts thereof that may, during normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, be placed in the mouth by children. An article or accessible part of an article may be placed in the mouth by children if it is smaller than 5 cm in one dimension or has a detachable or protruding part of that size.

NOTE: This requirement shall NOT apply to article including:
- jewelry covered by paragraph 1 of the Entry;
- key and lock including padlock; musical instrument;
- religious article, portable zinc-carbon battery and button cell battery;
- article within the scope of Directive 94/62/EC, Regulation (EC) No.1935/2004, Directive 2009/48/EC, Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS);
- the following item and material, see the Entry for details: crystal glass; stone; enamel; article and part of article comprising brass alloys.
