Requirement/Limits:

Importers and producers of articles must notify the Agency (HSE) if substances listed on the Candidate list (.xlsx) (the list of substances of very high concern (SVHCs)) are present in their article(s), under certain conditions as laid out in article 7(2):
the substance is present in those articles in quantities totalling over 1 tonne per producer or importer per year; and
the substance is present in those articles above a concentration of 0.1 % w/w.

Vendors have a legal obligation to inform Amazon of the presence of any SVHCs in products delivered to Amazon. We therefore request Vendors to provide declaration of Conformity and provide the SVHCs data if substance present in the articles more than or equal to 0.1% w/w in the entire article; Amazon will conduct Audit testing for high risk substances and materials in ACD PT/VT or VCD SCT for below high risk items: i. Lead for metal (plug pin, alloy copper material, etc. ), electronic parts; ii. Lead monoxide (lead oxide), Lead titanium zirconium oxide, Lead titanium trioxide for Plastics, Coatings on textiles, paper, cardboard and paints, metal electronic parts; iii. Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) for Plastic and coatings; iv: D4, D5, D6 for soft plastic and SCCP for plastic.
