What is RED certification?

RED certification is a directive for wireless products.

RED (The Radio Equipment Directive) certification is one of the certifications for wireless products in the EU mandatory CE certification model. Products with wireless transmission frequencies such as tablets, wireless doorbells, Bluetooth devices, WiFi devices, wireless alarm devices, radio receiving and transmission equipment, phones, computers, etc., all need to apply for RED certification.

Are RED certification and CE certification the same?

RED directive is a directive within the scope of CE certification. CE certification contains many directives: MD directive, LVD directive, EMC directive, RED directive, etc., which will be determined according to different products. Which directives of CE certification are involved in the product;

CE-RED certification scope:

7. Bluetooth products such as Bluetooth headsets.

8. Inductive data transmission equipment with working frequency <9 kHz.
