Scratch test
Project introduction
Scratch test is one of the commonly used standard methods to test the bonding strength between surface film and substrate material. A tip made of a material with a hardness greater than that of the surface film is used to scratch the surface of the sample or workpiece, and the load is added to the scratch tip until the film and the substrate are out of contact. At this time, the load is the critical load, and the bonding strength between the surface film and the substrate can be calculated.
Application range
Scratch test is mainly used to detect and evaluate the shear, scratch, planing, scraping and engraving resistance of materials such as anodized materials, rigid organic materials, powder coatings, soft metals, plastics, glass and coating adhesives.
