The B5063 is a linear motion machine that uses a vertical reciprocating motion of the inserter to insert keyways and holes. The inserting machine, like the planer, uses a single-edged tool (insert knife) to cut the workpiece, but the planer is a horizontal layout and the insert is a vertical layout.
