Widely used in industrial production, vibratory bowl feeders are the most common parts transfer system for production lines. Since the mid-20th century, vibratory bowl feeders have been highly regarded for their high efficiency.

The primary function of a vibrating bowl feeder is to use vibration to orient and convey parts on a production line. An electromagnet generates vibration which is then converted to mechanical vibration, moving the parts along a track and facilitating their entry into the production line.

The vibratory bowl feeder has a magnetic coil underneath the plate, which is magnetized by an external power source to produce vibration. The coil is mounted on top of a spring, and the movement of the vibrating bowl feeder is constrained by the spring.

Vibratory bowl feeders are an important piece of equipment in the production of bottled products, conveying loose plastic bottles in sequence to the filling machine for canning. We once worked with an American company producing skin care products, and the customer required 30 bottles a minute to match the speed of the filling machine.

In order to accommodate a sufficient number of plastic bottles, the engineers chose a 900 mm diameter vibrating bowl feeder. When designing the track, baffles and flippers were added to keep the bottles face up before conveying them to the filling machine. The vibratory bowl feeder was designed to meet the customer's conditions: 30 bottles a minute were conveyed with the tops of the bottles facing up.
