Here’s how they work: When the vibratory bowl feeder starts running, parts placed inside the bowl move along pre-designed tracks. As they travel through these custom tracks, the parts are repositioned to the right orientation. If a part isn’t in the required state (e.g., facing the wrong direction), it gets pushed back to the center of the bowl. From there, the part moves along the tracks again—until it finally reaches the correct orientation and continues to the production line.

Before starting the feeder, you need to load washers into the vibratory bowl. The loading method depends on your production line design and automation level: you can do it manually, or use a bin with a conveyor belt for hands-free feeding.

Once the controller activates the vibratory bowl feeder, the bowl generates vibrations that move the washers onto the track. As the washers travel along the track, devices like sensors and guiding plates on the conveyor system keep them on track and guide them to the specified location.

When the washers reach their destination, you can collect them either manually or with a robotic arm—then use them to assemble your products.
