LM1851 Description
Model LM1851 is an integrated circuit (IC) that provides ground fault protection for AC power outlets in consumer and industrial environments . It can detect and interrupt ground fault currents greater than a presettable threshold value by triggering an external SCR-driven circuit breaker . It can also detect neutral fault condition and has immunity to false triggering due to line noise. Some applications of model LM1851 are ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs), appliance leakage circuit interrupters (ALCIs), equipment leakage circuit interrupters (ELCIs), and immersion detection circuit interrupters (IDCIs). Some related products of model LM1851 are LM1851MX/NOPB, which is a surface mount version of the same IC, and LM1852N, which is a similar IC with additional features such as test and reset functions.
