Product Overview

Overshot (salvage tube) is the core tool used to efficiently salvage drop fish in oilfield drilling and well repair operations (such as oil pipes, broken drill rods, weighted rods, long plumb hammers, tools, etc.). It uses high-strength alloy material and tile locking technology to quickly restore wellbore integrity and reduce operational risks through precise grasping and fixing functions. Adapting to a variety of casing specifications and complex well conditions is a key equipment to improve drilling efficiency and safety.

Structural composition: The salvage cylinder consists of an upper joint, cylinder, spring, caulking seat, caulking, shoe guide, etc., with a compact structure and easy to operate.

Working Principle‌

When the guide shoe of the salvage barrel is introduced into the dropping fish, lower the tool, push the tile upwards, compress the spring, so that the tile goes out of the cone hole of the barrel and gradually separates, and the tile enters the tile. Then, the kava is pressed down under the action of a spring, hugging the fish head and giving the fish head a preliminary clamping force. The drilling tool is raised upwards, and the cylinder body is upwards. Under the initial clamping force, the sash is fitted with the conical surface of the cylinder body, creating a greater clamping force, jamming the fallen fish and achieving salvage.

• It can be used with hydraulic disassembly rack (maximum torque of 300kN·m), continuous oil pipe (CTU) and other tools, supporting rapid deposition and recycling, reducing the number of drilling and downs, and improving operating efficiency by 40%.
