Very Narrow Aisle is defined as less than 6 feet between the racks, and is usually used with selective pallet rack. Often, guidance systems like guide rail or wire is used to keep the trucks on track. The main component that decides your aisle width is your lift truck. If you are doing VNA, you will need a special forklift to navigate the aisles, you can’t use a standard forklift. VNA trucks (turret trucks) usually only turn the load instead of the whole vehicle, and aren’t dock working trucks.
