  5. Unbolt master cylinder from firewall – remove 2 nuts (usually 10mm or 12mm) from engine side.

  6. Remove old cylinder – pull out from engine bay.

  7. Compare new cylinder with old – check mounting flange, bore size, pushrod length, and port thread.

  8. Adjust pushrod length – if necessary, set to match old cylinder‘s clevis position (measure from mounting flange to center of clevis pin hole).

  9. Install new cylinder – position on firewall, tighten mounting nuts to specification (typically 10-15 Nm).

  10. Reconnect pushrod to clutch pedal – install clevis pin and new cotter pin.

  11. Reconnect hydraulic line – tighten fitting gently. Do not cross-thread.

  12. Fill reservoir with fresh DOT 3/DOT 4 fluid – do not overfill.

  13. Bleed the clutch system – open bleeder on slave cylinder. Have an assistant depress pedal, close bleeder, release pedal. Repeat until no air bubbles. Keep reservoir topped up.

  14. Check pedal feel – should be firm with some free play (typically 5-15mm at pedal pad). Adjust pushrod if needed.

  15. Test drive – verify smooth clutch engagement and disengagement, no leaks.
