Installation Notes
- Safely lift and support the rear of the vehicle - raise the rear and support the frame on jack stands. The rear axle should hang freely
- Locate the sub spring rubber - usually mounted on the chassis frame above the rear axle or on the spring plate
- Remove the old rubber - if bolt-on, remove the mounting bolt/nut. If press-fit, pry out with a screwdriver
- Clean the mounting surface - remove rust and debris
- Inspect the mounting bracket - check for cracks or damage
- Install the new rubber - position onto mounting stud or bolt hole. If bolt-on, insert bolt and tighten to specification (typically 30-50 Nm). Do not overtighten (rubber may deform)
- Repeat for the other side - replace both left and right bumpers simultaneously for balanced performance
- Lower the vehicle - test drive over bumps to ensure no abnormal noise
