Installation Notes
Installation steps (typical for transmission speed sensor):
- Disconnect battery negative cable
- Loe the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission output housing
- Disconnect the electrical connector
- Remove the mounting bolt or unscrew the sensor (if threaded)
- Remove the old sensor
- Clean the mounting bore
- Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the new sensor's O-ring (if present) and connector pins
- Install the new sensor and tighten to specifiion (8-12 Nm for bolts, hand-tight plus 1/4 turn for threaded)
- Reconnect the electrical connector
- Reconnect battery
- Start engine and test speedometer operation. Use a scan tool to clear any speed sensor codes
