Installation Notes
- Safely lift and support vehicle - remove front wheels and brake components
- Remove steering knuckle - disconnect tie rod, drag link, and steering arm
- Press out old king pins - use a hydraulic press. Remove old bushings from axle beam
- Inspect axle beam bores - check for ovality or damage. Clean thoroughly
- Install new bushings - press into axle beam (upper and lower). Ensure oil holes align
- Ream bushings to size (if required) - using a precision reamer (0.001-0.003 inches clearance)
- Lubrie king pin - apply high-quality chassis grease
- Assemble thrust bearing - check configuration per Isuzu service bulletin
- Insert king pin - tap into place using brass drift. Install lock pins or retaining bolts
- Check end play - use dial indior to measure vertical movement (≤ 0.005 inches)
- Reassemble steering knuckle, seals, caps - install dust caps and grease fittings
- Grease thoroughly - pump grease until fresh grease appears from all seals
- Reinstall wheels and brake components - torque to specifiion
- Road test - check for smooth steering, no binding, no play. Re-torque after 500 km
