Installation & Maintenance Recommendations
IMPORTANT: Cylinder liner installation requires specialized equipment and mechanical competence. Professional machine shop installation is strongly recommended.
Installation Guidelines:
- Remove the old cylinder liner using appropriate extraction tools
- Thoroughly clean the liner bore in the engine block
- Measure the block bore to ensure proper interference fit
- Press the new liner into the block using hydraulic press and appropriate tooling
- Machine and hone the liner to the finished bore size of 94.0mm (if semi-finished)
- Plateau hone the finished bore to achieve correct surface finish
- Clean the finished bore thoroughly before engine assembly
