Pre-Installation Checklist:
- DSG transmission must be removed for flywheel access
- Inspect the crankshaft flange for damage or wear
- Use NEW flywheel bolts — they are torque-to-yield and must be replaced
- Replace the rear main seal while the flywheel is removed (recommended)
- Always replace the dual clutch assembly simultaneously with the flywheel
Installation Guidelines (Reference workshop manual):
- Safely raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands
- Remove the DSG transmission assembly
- Remove the old flywheel bolts and carefully remove the old flywheel
- Clean the crankshaft flange mounting surface thoroughly
