How long does it take to switch from 6-strand mode to 4-strand mode?
With skilled operation, die change and adjustment take about 1-2 hours, including removing the original die, cleaning, installing the new die, centering, and temperature stabilization.
When producing wide straps (e.g., 19mm) in 4-strand mode, does output decrease?
The total width in 4-strand mode is larger (4*19=76mm). Although the number of strands is reduced, the increased individual width allows the extrusion output to be fully utilized. Total capacity is close to that of narrow-strap production in 6-strand mode.
