Description:

The mold cavity is created using two hardened tool steel dies which have been machined into shape and work similarly to an injectioon mold

Advantage:

1. Aluminium being a lightweight alloy allows making lightweight parts without compromising their strength.

2.Thinner walls can be cast as compared to sand and permanent mould casting (approximately 0.75 mm or 0.030 in).

3. Aluminium cast parts are well textured or smooth depending on the requirements

4.Reduces or eliminates secondary machining operations.

5. Die casting fluid length is unaffected by solidification range, unlike permanent molds, sand castings, and other types.
