Automatic Hot Melt Adhesive Coating Machine for Heat Shrink Sleeve with Reactor
Developed by Qingdao Huashida Machinery with 21+ years of pipeline anti-corrosion equipment manufacturing experience, this TJ-700 hot melt coating line is a fully automatic adhesive coating machine for heat shrink sleeve and tape production.
Built for 1100-1200mm wide PE back film coating, this machine is the core stage of our cross-linked sleeve equipment. It combines a 300L reactor, PE backing stretching unit, adhesive coating roller and PLC control system to mass-produce high-performance pipeline anticorrosion sleeves for girth weld and field joint coating (FJC).
This adhesive coating machine supports customized mass production of radiation cross-linked PE protective materials for pipeline girth weld joints, in line with international anti-corrosion standards.
1100-1200mm cross-linked PE heat shrink tapes, conventional sleeves and clip-on sleeves. With >150N/cm peel strength (ASTM D1000), they provide stable anti-corrosion sealing for buried oil and gas pipeline girth welds and municipal field joint coating.
Three-layer reinforced heat shrink sleeves and tapes with 15-20MPa tensile strength, strong impact resistance and long-term aging resistance. Made on a fiber reinforced sleeve line, they suit large-diameter trunk pipelines in high-salinity, desert and cold-climate regions.
Sleeves made on this heat shrink tape coating line have stable shrinkage, strong bonding and excellent waterproof anti-corrosion performance:
- Oil and Gas Pipeline Girth Weld Protection: long-distance large-diameter transmission pipelines, 2PE/3LPE coated steel pipe girth welds and seamless steel pipe field joints.
- District Heating Pipeline Sealing: joint anti-corrosion and thermal sealing for PU foam pre-insulated pipelines.
- Municipal and Industrial Drainage Protection: spiral corrugated pipes, steel-reinforced plastic pipes and PVC-U sewage pipes.
- Pipeline On-Site Maintenance and Rehabilitation: gap sealing, damage repair and field joint renovation of buried pipelines.
This girth weld sleeve line uses a modular configuration of coating system, stretching unit, optional fiberglass upgrade device and PLC intelligent control for continuous production.
- TJ-700 Adhesive Coating Line: automatic online PE back film coating with hot melt adhesive, plus secondary stretching and shaping.
- RS-800 PE Backing Extrusion Line: stable 150-200kg/h output of high-purity LDPE/HDPE backing film.

This hot melt coating line is the third step of a three-step molding process used worldwide for pipeline field joint coating materials:
- Step 1, Substrate Extrusion: high-purity PE is extruded into flat, uniform back film on the RS-800 line.
- Step 2, Electron Beam Radiation Crosslinking: professional irradiation gives the PE film a shape memory effect, high tensile strength and aging resistance.
- Step 3, Online Adhesive Lamination and Shaping: the cross-linked film is precisely stretched and compounded with imported hot melt adhesive from the 300L reactor.
Automatic fiberglass unwinding, constant-temperature heating and precise leveling are added to the standard process. This forms three-layer reinforced sleeves in one continuous pass, with ≥100N/cm shear strength (DIN 30672) and more stable shrinkage.
