Gabion Wire Mesh

Galvanized Gabion Wire Mesh, also known as heavy hexagonal mesh or gabion mesh, is crafted from high-quality galvanized wire that is machine twisted and woven. It is necessary to understand the distinction between galvanized gabion mesh and coated gabion mesh, which lies in the surface corrosion resistance process and the lifespan of the wire cage.

The galvanized process involves coating the wire with a layer of zinc, utilizing methods such as wire galvanization, hot-dip galvanization, or hot-dip galvanization with an aluminum alloy. On the other hand, plastic-coated gabion cages utilize a galvanized process but with an additional PVC/PE coating on the wire's surface.

It is worth noting that galvanized coated gabion cages typically have a longer service life compared to those made solely from galvanized wire. However, the former generally comes at a higher price than pure galvanized gabion cages.
