Threaded ring gauges are primarily used to measure thread diameter and pitch. Their high precision, wide measurement range, and simple operation make them ideal for various industries including:

- Avoid touching the working surface with bare hands to prevent rust
- Store on appropriate surfaces (tool cabinet or wooden backing plate) - never on machine tool holders or guide rails
- Inspect regularly for damage, rust, or deformation
- If rust appears, soak in gasoline, wipe carefully, and apply anti-rust oil
- Never store working surfaces of two gauges together
- After use, clean thoroughly and store in dry conditions
