The LEUZE HT3C/4P - M8 is a diffuse sensor equipped with powerful background suppression. It operates based on the diffuse reflection principle with background suppression. With guaranteed operating ranges varying from 0.005 - 0.45 m for white objects (90% reflectivity), 0.01 - 0.34 m for gray (18% reflectivity), and 0.015 - 0.22 m for black (6% reflectivity), it can accurately detect objects against various backgrounds. The red LED light source with a wavelength of 633 nm and a focused beam path ensures stable and reliable detection, making it suitable for applications where object recognition is crucial, such as in manufacturing lines for quality control.​

Robust Electrical and Mechanical Design​

This industrial automation product features a sturdy construction. Its housing is made of PC - ABS plastic, and the lens cover is plastic/PMMA, with a net weight of only 10 g. Measuring 11.4 mm x 34.2 mm x 18.3 mm, it has a compact size. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10 - 30 V DC, with a residual ripple of 0 - 15% from UB and an open - circuit current of 0 - 15 mA. It has two digital switching outputs with PNP transistors, one for light switching and the other for dark switching. The device is short - circuit protected and has polarity reversal protection, ensuring long - term and stable operation even in demanding electrical environments.​
