Product Description
304 stainless steel plate is a commonly used stainless steel material with good corrosion resistance, strength and processing performance.
The main chemical composition of 304 stainless steel plate includes:
Chromium (Cr) content: 18-20%
Nickel (Ni) content: 8-10.5%
Manganese (Mn) content: less than 2%
Silicon (Si) content: less than 0.75%
Carbon (C) content: less than 0.08%
These elements give 304 stainless steel plates excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Features:
304L stainless steel plate is a low-carbon variant of 304 stainless steel plate. The “L” designation in SS304L sheet indicates that the carbon content is kept below 0.03%, which helps prevent sensitization, a process that can lead to intergranular corrosion in some environments. By reducing the carbon content, 304L stainless steel improves weldability and can be used in applications requiring welding.
