ASTM standard (American Society for Testing and Materials):
ASTM A240/A240M: Standard for chromium and chromium-nickel stainless steel plates, sheets and strips for pressure vessels and general applications. EN standard (European standard):
EN 10088-2: Stainless steel - Technical delivery conditions for general purpose corrosion-resistant steel sheets/plates and strips. It covers the requirements for the chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, surface quality and other aspects of stainless steel plates, and is suitable for a variety of stainless steel products in the European market.
EN 10307: Non-destructive testing - Ultrasonic testing of austenitic and austenitic ferritic stainless steel plates with a thickness of 6 mm or more (reflection flaw detection method), specifies the methods, equipment, acceptance criteria, etc. for ultrasonic testing of such stainless steel plates.
DIN standard (German Institute for Standardization): For example, DIN 17440 specifies the technical delivery conditions for stainless steel plates, hot-rolled strips and bars for pressure, drawn wire and forgings, including chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensions, surface quality, etc.
JIS standard (Japan Industrial Standards Research Institute):
