This parameter is also known as Duty number or COM number. Because STN/TN LCD is usually driven by time-division dynamic scanning mode, in this mode, the ratio of the effective turn-on time of each COM to the whole scan cycle, i.e. Duty, is fixed, equal to 1/COM number. Bias: Bias
The driving waveform of SEG/COM of LCD is analog signal, and the ratio of analog voltage to the maximum output voltage of LCD is called bias. Generally speaking, Bias is expressed by the ratio of the lowest output voltage to the highest output voltage. Generally speaking, there is a certain relationship between Bias and Duty. The more the number of Duty, the shorter the scanning time of each COM. To achieve the same display brightness and contrast, the voltage of VON will be increased, and the difference between the selection level and the non-selection level needs to be increased, that is, Bias needs to be increased. There is an empirical formula between Duty and Bias, that is, to achieve the same display brightness and contrast.
