- Plate heat exchanger is a high-efficiency heat exchanger composed of a series of stacked metal sheets with a certain corrugated shape. Thin rectangular channels are formed between various plates, and heat is exchanged through the plates. Plate heat exchanger is an ideal equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange.
- It has the characteristics of high heat exchange efficiency, small heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, wide application and long service life. Under the same pressure loss, its heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of tubular heat exchangers, its floor space is one-third that of tubular heat exchangers, and its heat recovery rate can be as high as more than 90%.
- The thickness of the plates of the plate heat exchanger is only 0.4~0.8mm, while the thickness of the heat exchange tubes of the shell and tube heat exchanger is 2.0~2.5mm. The shell of the shell and tube type is much heavier than the frame of the plate heat exchanger. , Plate heat exchangers are generally only about 1/5 of the weight of shell and tube heat exchangers.
