Cable-Stayed Bridge Engineering Solutions
Cable-stayed bridges, also known as diagonal bridges, feature a structural system where the main beam is directly supported by multiple cables anchored to bridge towers. This design creates a system composed of pressurized towers, tensioned cables, and a bent beam body.
Structural Load Distribution
The load transfer path efficiently distributes dead load and vehicle load from the main beam to the cable tower through the stay cables, then to the foundation. This creates a continuous beam with multi-span elastic support, significantly reducing internal bending moments and allowing for smaller beam dimensions (typically 1/50 to 1/200 of span length).
