Casing/Housing: Provides the outer shell of the pump and contains the internal components, protecting them from external elements and contaminants.
Rotary Group: This includes the rotating parts like the rotor, vanes, or pistons, depending on the type of pump (gear, vane, or piston pump). These parts are responsible for creating the pumping action.
Bearings or Bushings: Reduce friction and support the rotating parts within the casing.
Shaft Seal: Prevents hydraulic fluid from leaking out of the casing where the shaft exits the pump.
Inlet and Outlet Ports: These are passages for hydraulic fluid to enter and leave the pump. The inlet is connected to the hydraulic reservoir and the outlet is connected to the hydraulic system.
Gears (Gear Pump): In a gear pump, there are typically two gears - a drive gear (connected to the motor shaft) and a driven gear - which interlock to move hydraulic fluid.
Vanes (Vane Pump): These are slotted into the rotor and extend to the casing walls, creating chambers for fluid transport.
