Material and Construction
1.The tape is constructed with a base layer made of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (Bopp) film. This film is created through a precise manufacturing process of stretching polypropylene in two directions. The result is a film with enhanced mechanical properties such as high tensile strength, good dimensional stability, and excellent clarity.
2.Coated on the Bopp film is a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. Commonly, acrylic-based adhesives are used due to their strong adhesion capabilities, resistance to aging, and good performance across a range of temperatures.
Physical Appearance
1.Color: It is often available in a clear, transparent form, allowing the underlying surface to be visible. However, it can also be produced in various colors like white, beige, and even custom colors upon request. The colored tapes can be used for color-coding or aesthetic purposes.
2.Thickness: The tape typically has a relatively thin profile, usually ranging from around 40 to 70 microns, which includes both the Bopp film and the adhesive layer. This thinness makes it convenient for storage and application, while still maintaining sufficient strength.
3.Width and Length: There is a wide range of widths available, from narrow widths as small as 6mm for delicate tasks, up to 72mm or more for heavier-duty applications. In terms of length, standard rolls can vary from 10 meters to 100 meters or even longer, depending on the specific needs of the user.
